An approximately 6 mile walk on open moorland over Saddle Tor to Haytor Quarries. Then following the Granite Tramway and the Templer's Way to Holwell Tor.

We then cross Becka Brook to Emsworthy Mire, a man made nature reserve managed by Devon Wildlife Trust.

On our return towards the car park we can visit Emsworthy Barn, an original 18 century restored farm building which is part of a moorland farm abandoned in 1870.

No stiles.  The river crossing is via a clapper bridge.  It could be muddy in the mire section.
