A 5.5 mile circular walk walking north of Ashburton over fields, through woodlands adjacent to the River Ashburn and walking along country lanes in places.
One long climb up a farm track. A couple of styles and kissing gates, otherwise a straightforward countryside walk with some lovely vistas in places.
Depending on livestock that could be in the fields, dogs would need to go on leads at these points. Walking poles might be useful in places for some.
Debrief at the Bay Horse pub, which we were very pleased to see had reopened, having been closed since lockdown. This is at the top of the town enroute back to the carpark .
Appropriate walking gear suitable for terrain and the weather with usual refreshments for coffee stop and packed lunch.
Coffee stop will need something waterproof to sit on.
