A trip into Cornwall….

Take the A38 heading towards the Tamar Bridge…DO NOT go over bridge, but take the left hand turning into the Tamar Bridge Visitor Centre Car Park. This is free parking, but car share would be advised, so we don’t take up too many spaces.  Toilets are available here.

This is a 5.5 mile circular walk.  We will be walking across the Tamar Bridge, crossing the river to Saltash. 

During the walk there will be views of both the River Tamar and River Lynher, and across to Anthony, a viaduct and the 11thC Trematon Castle, also visiting  Churchdown Nature Reserve (bring binoculars). All is before we take the urban route back to Saltash, and a debrief in a local Hostelry before we head back across the Bridge to Devon.

Please bring food & drink for coffee and lunch stops

Walking poles, and something waterproof to sit on.

Appropriate walking gear for the weather.
